Ryan Hipwood Sweetspot 2.0

When your regular short board is feeling loose and needs more control the Sweetspot 2.0 will be the ideal board of choice. It is made extra strong to withstand the powerful surf at the worlds best surf locations; However user friendly enough for the intermediate surfer but not holding back any performance for the advanced surfer. Designed with a flatter rocker, wider mid point, pulled in tail, super strong construction and carbon re-enforcement there are no limits with what is delivered.

The perfect fin of for this step-up is the DHD Signature FCS II fin. The fin is essentially geared for controlled tight pocket turns, but it will also perform driving cutbacks on the open face. The tip is slightly tapered, which also promotes nice tail release when pushed a little harder through a turn.

Ryan Hipwood Sweetspot 2.0

“ I use the DHD Fin in all my step ups all the way to a 7’2. What I like about the fins is the inside foil and that they don’t have to much tip allowing bigger boards to more responsive. There is no other fin that compares to it. It is amazing at high end speed and holds in any turn you can through at it.” — Ryan Hipwood
