Manu Bay isn't a wave that flatters you. It's slow, long, and honest — and if your board doesn't find speed early, you spend most of the heat chasing sections that have already gone. At the New Zealand Pro, Liam O'Brien hit R3 and Molly Picklum reached the quarters with her highest wave score being a 7.5. The rest of the team went out earlier than planned, but after four stops the rankings tell the real story: Molly's third in the world, Ethan's sixth, and there's a lot of surfing still ahead.
