The Phoenix is designed to make the most out of smaller, weaker waves. Stringered EPS enhances it's natural speed and responsiveness, giving the board a lively feel and helping it generate speed with less effort.

WHAT DOES THE STRINGERED EPS ADD TO THE PHOENIX?

The Phoenix already has a flatter rocker and fuller outline designed for easy speed and paddle power. EPS adds another level of acceleration and liveliness, helping the board stay fast and responsive when the waves are lacking power.

WHY DOES THE PHOENIX WORK SO WELL IN STRINGERED EPS

The combination of EPS and the Phoenix shape creates a very efficient small-wave board. You get the extra flotation and speed of the EPS construction, combined with the Phoenix's flatter rocker, single to double concave and swallow tail for easy speed and flow.

SHOULD I CHOOSE THE PHOENIX OR PHOENIX FLIGHT EPS?

The Phoenix Swallow Tail is the more traditional small-wave option, prioritising easy speed, flow and versatility.

The Phoenix Flight has a more refined performance outline, with a thinner profile and narrower tail for quicker transitions and tighter turns.

Concave's are used to channel the direction of the water flow under the surfboard towards the fins. They also allow air to get under the surfboard when you are surfing and will increase both its sensitivity and speed.
