El Salvador Wrap sees Solid Results from the DHD Team
Hey crew,
El Salvador turned it on for Finals Day—clean 4-6ft walls and plenty of opportunity for the world’s best to put on a show.
Some standout waves from everyone on the finals day, and it was probably the best we've seen El Salvador since its introduction to the tour. Jordy Smith won the event over fellow South African, Matty McGillivray.
For the DHD crew, there were some strong performances across the board:
-
Ethan Ewing picked up a 5th, sharp as ever.
-
Joel Vaughan went out in the Round of 32.
-
Connor O’Leary bowed out in the Round of 16.
-
Molly Picklum surfed solid all event, falling just short in the semis to Isabella.
-
Isabella Nichols was on a tear and walked away with an impressive runner-up finish.
Some solid momentum building as we head into Bells! The team’s looking good and hungry.
Cheers,
Darren Handley
