The Juliette is built for speed and commitment. Reducing concave up front gives it instant acceleration — exactly what Ethan wants when driving off the front foot. The narrowed tail lets you push hard without losing control, and the thinner, narrowed nose allows Ethan’s trademark nose-pick rebounds, tight jams, and fast recoveries. The rolled deck and thinner rails make it easy to bury rail at high speed, giving that clean, powerful top-turn line Ethan is known for. It’s fast, responsive, and confident when you’re pushing into the lip. This board rewards surfers who drive hard, surf tight in the pocket, and want a board that keeps up with rapid direction changes.
This is your top-tier high-performance shortboard. When the waves have shape, push, or offer any kind of section to hit, the Juliette is the board you grab. It sits above the DNA in terms of sensitivity and responsiveness — a more refined, more reactive version built for advanced surfers who want to surf fast, tight, and on rail. Ideal for quality beachies, points, reefs, and any wave where precision matters.

How do I look after my Stringered EPS Epoxy
It is ideal to make sure you take good care of your Epoxy boards to ensure they remain strong and durable. Always do your best to minimize the heat and sunlight your board is exposed to. The excess heat can cause damages and all repairs must be fixed with an Epoxy Resin.
What’s new in DHD’s latest construction?
We’ve returned to Stringered EPS – combining a traditional timber stringer with EPS foam and 160g BIAX cloth. This creates a board that’s stronger, more responsive, and performs well in all conditions, not just small or weak waves.
Why add a stringer back into EPS boards?
The timber stringer acts as a natural dampener, reducing chatter and improving control in bumpy or windy surf. It also adds flex and drive without making the board feel too stiff or reactive.
What is BIAX cloth and what does it do?
BIAX is a 160g fiberglass cloth that adds durability and controlled flex. It enhances the “pop” of the board while maintaining strength and longevity.
Which models are available in this new EPS construction?
Juliet – Best for performance surfing with more rocker. Fast, responsive, and lively.
Nexus – Our most versatile all-rounder. The EPS version adds even more spark and control.
Black Diamond – Proven favorite for bigger, heavier conditions. Strong, smooth, and still lightweight.
Can I use these EPS boards in powerful or windy surf?
Yes. Unlike traditional EPS boards that struggle in strong or messy conditions, this new construction holds up in everything from weak beach breaks to heavy cyclone swell.
What’s the difference in rail design on these EPS boards?
Because EPS is more buoyant, we’ve thinned out the rails to help the board bite and engage more easily, especially on rail-to-rail turns.
